From Amman drive 2.5 hrs to the red rose city of Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the world. It has been declared since 1985 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will see the amazing Treasury, the Street of Façades, the Royal Tombs and Qasr Al Bint.

Drive 50 km in the north to Jerash, the well preserved city of the Roman Empire. You get to see Hadrian's Arch, the Hippodrome, and the Temple of Artemis. Back in Amman enjoy lunch at an Arabic Restaurant. Then visit the Citadel, the Archaeological Museum and the Roman Theatre.

Visit two important religious sites, not far away from the capital Amman. The town Madaba, well known for Byzantine mosaic art, best example is the mosaic map of the Holy Land. Then to Mt Nebo, believed to be the burial site of Prophet Moses with an early Christian church.

Today discover Jordan's capital Amman. You get to see the Citadel with remains of the Umayyad Palace and the Hercules Temple as well as the Archaeological Museum. Then stroll in Jabal Amman with its 19th century houses, enjoy a delicious lunch at an Arabic Restaurant.

Visit Bethany beyond the Jordan, located on the east bank of the Jordan River, where John preached and baptized Jesus Christ. The site was part of the early Christian pilgrimage route, and in the year 2,000 about 40,000 people celebrated a holy mass with the late Pope John Paul II.

Drive one hour towards the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. Here at the beach enjoy the health benefits of its special climatic conditions and have fun with floating on water. The Dead Sea has attracted many visitors in the earlier times including Queen Cleopatra.

Pick up Amman hotel, head to the eastern desert to see three examples of the Desert Castles, built by the Umayyad caliphs in the 7th and 8th century: Qasr Kharanah, Qasr Amra and Qasr Azraq, occupied by Lawrence of Arabia, during the Great Arab Revolt.
