Day 1: Amman Airport/Amman Hotel – Wadi Rum jeep tour – Wadi Rum Camp (B, D)
Pick up from your Amman hotel or Amman Airport, 4 hours transfer to Wadi Rum, one of the most amazing desert landscapes in the world. Still Bedouins live here in a traditional way. Explore the area by 4x4 jeep and see rugged mountains, canyons, sand dunes and rock inscriptions from Thamudic and Nabatean period. Dinner & overnight at campsite.
Day 2: Wadi Rum Camp – Petra visit – Petra Hotel (B)
Breakfast at camp, 1.5 hrs transfer to the rose-red city of Petra, one of the wonders of the world. More than 2,000 years ago the Nabatean Arabs carved here amazing monuments in the sandstone, and dominated the trade routes of ancient Arabia. Walk through the Siq, an impressively narrow path, till the Treasury. Other monuments you will see are the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and Qasr Al Bint. Free time to explore Petra on your own. Overnight Petra Hotel.
Day 3: Petra Hotel – Kerak Castle – Amman Hotel/Amman Airport (B)
Today we drive back to Amman and visit en route the Crusader Caste Kerak, perched on a hilltop. The fortress was built in the 12th century and ruled by Payen le Bouteiller, the Lord of Transjordan (Oultrejordain), and features large underground halls. Drop of at Amman hotel or Amman Airport.
