Meditation and Energetic
On this kind of journeys you find time to relax, to rejuvenate and to dissolve stress. Starting with a stay at the Dead Sea, you enjoy in the next days the nature by walking through wadis with waterfalls, wandering through narrow gorges, little rivers and silent, great desert landscapes. It will affect you like a fountain of youth.
Day 1: Amman – Madaba
Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport our representative will meet and assist you. Transfer to Madaba for overnight.
Day 2: Madaba – Dead Sea – Hammamat Ma'in
In the morning we drive to the Dead Sea, where you can float on the lowest point on earth and try the healthy effects of the salty and mineral-rich water. On request we arrange a massage in one of the hotels. We go on to Hammamat Ma'in with its waterfalls and thermal springs, not far from the Dead Sea. Here you also can have a bath in pools or enjoy the nature in the nice valley. Overnight in Madaba.
Day 3: Wadi Ben Hammad – Wadi Hessa
Early in the morning we start walking in Wadi Ben Hammad, which spring water supplies the Dead Sea. In a narrow rocky gorge we find hanging gardens and spectacular rock formations. Today we also walk in Wadi Hessa through waters and a canyon. Camping in Wadi Hessa.
Day 4: Little Petra
We drive to Little Petra, where we will have a half-day hike. Little Petra had been like a suburb for Petra, here we see the Neolithic village Beida as well as the first traces of the Nabataean and spend the night in a camp.
Day 5: Little Petra – Petra
Today you get to know the red-rose rock city Petra. From Little Petra we walk to the Monastery El Deir, where we have some great views to the Great Rift Valley and Wadi Araba, head for Qasr al-Bint, the Colonnaded Street, the Royal Tombs, the Treasury and through the Siq to modern Petra for overnight in hotel.
Day 6: Petra – Wadi Sabra
We hike from Petra to Wadi Sabra, to Nabataean times this had been an entrance to Petra. On the track we pass the remains of a theatre and rest at a spring. Camping in Wadi Sabra.
Day 7–8: Wadi Rum
In the morning we drive to Wadi Rum, where we will stay the next two days. By Jeep we reach the middle of the desert, where we have some moderate hikes to rock bridges, canyons and sand dunes and plenty of time to enjoy the pure nature and the silence. The nights we spend under the starry sky in camps.
Day 9: Wadi Rum – Amman
From the peaceful desert we return over the Desert Highway to the busy capital of Amman for overnight in hotel.
