Visa
All visitors need a valid passport for at least 6 months before the arrival in Dubai. Citizens from Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, USA and other countries receive a visa on arrival at the airport which is valid for 60 days. Because there are various UAE visa categories we recommend to contact the embassy or consulate in your country, also visa issues may have changed.
Note: No Israeli stamp should be on your passport.
Climate
From March to October it is very hot, average temperature at day around 40° C, in winter temperatures fall to 27° C.
Health
No inoculations are prescribed, except for entering from an infected area like yellow fever in Africa or cholera in Latin America. Dubai has an excellent health care system with modern standards and hygienic conditions.
Currency
Currency unit: UAE Dirham (Dh.) or Arab Emirate Dirham (AED) = 100 Fils.
Notes: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 dirhams.
Coins:1, 5, 10, 25 and 50 fils and 1 dirham.
Business Hours
Saturday to Thursday: 8:00am to 1:00pm and 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Banks: Saturday to Wednesday 8:00am to 1:00pm, some also from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, Thursday 8:00am to 12:00am.
Customs
Clothing should be conservative in Dubai. During Ramadan it is illegal to eat, drink or smoke in public.
